Can you believe how the world of teaching/training and learning has changed over the past few decades?  But at the heart of it all is that we still need a learner and a teacher.  However, the teacher today can take all kinds of different formats and modes.

Today’s learning (and I prefer to talk about learning, not training or education) is all about “guide me through the process of what I need to know” and let me learn on my own, with my peers, or in a blended environment. Learning is not about the “tech” it’s about the teach.  And in our headlong rush to stay current with the technology we can often overlook the best tools for the job. I should know.  I’ve worked with a wide variety of technologies, starting with print.  Learning can’t always be “sexy”.  Sometimes learning is boring, and sometimes it is hard.
